Liver stiffness measurement by acoustic radiation forced impulse and transient elastography in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis
European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Mar 09, 2019
Zayed N, et al. - In this prospective study, researchers assessed the performance of transient elastography (TE) and acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) for the initial evaluation of hepatic fibrosis in intrahepatic cholestatic (IHC) diseases and evaluated liver stiffness measurement (LSM) changes after 3 months of specific therapy. This investigation was performed on 50 IHC patients. According to findings, TE and ARFI are non-invasive methods with adequate diagnostic performance for fibrosis assessment and monitoring progression of the disease and intrahepatic cholestasis treatment response.
