Yeung J, et al. - The effect of liposomal bupivacaine on postoperative pain was evaluated among patients undergoing robotic sacrocolpopexy with posterior repair. Researchers here observed no differences in pain scores or narcotic use between liposomal bupivacaine and placebo injected into laparoscopic and vaginal incisions. Findings did not support the routine use of liposomal bupivacaine for this surgical intervention as there appeared no clinical benefit.
