Lipoprotein(a) is associated with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in a Chinese population of patients with hypertension and without coronary artery disease

Wang Y, et al. – The correlation between lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] and left ventricular systolic dysfunction was examined in a Chinese cohort of patients with hypertension and without coronary artery disease (CAD). A decrease was noted in the left ventricular ejection fraction with increased plasma Lp(a) levels. Lipoprotein(a) exhibited an independent link with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in the study cohort.
