Dai H, et al. – Lipid accumulation product (LAP) was tested for its accuracy as an effective screening tool for diagnosing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in the general population. Findings demonstrated a significant association of LAP with the presence and severity of NAFLD. Furthermore, for the detection of NAFLD in the general population, LAP showed a high diagnostic accuracy. Data reported that the diagnostic accuracy of LAP was especially high among younger age groups.
