Levels of anti-Mullerian hormone in premenopausal women with the antiphospholipid syndrome and its association with the risk of clinical complications
Lupus Feb 08, 2019
Castillo-Martinez D, et al. - A total of 23 premenopausal females and 24 healthy volunteers were estimated to analyze the ovarian reserve in premenopausal women with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and also to evaluate its association with cumulative organ damage or the risk of clinical dilemmas. They noticed similar serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) levels in APS subjects as well as in controls. No differences were observed between the primary and secondary forms of the syndrome too. They reported an inverse correlation between serum AMH levels and the risk of clinical complications (aGAPSS score), whereas no correlations were noted with the disease-specific organ damage (DIAPS score).
