Patel N, et al. – Researchers conducted the meta–analysis to evaluate the impacts of LVAD implantation on markers of diabetes mellitus (DM) control. The data showed that left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation was associated with significant improvement in HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose and daily insulin need in DM patients with advanced Heart failure (HF).
