LDL cholesterol level in fifth grade school children associates with stature

Pyles LA, et al. - This study was meant to explore the association of stature with LDL levels in children in the West Virginia Coronary Artery Risk Detection in Appalachian Communities (CARDIAC) Project to determine if the genetically determined inverse relationship observed in adults will be evident in 5th graders. Findings demonstrated that link between short stature and LDL, observed in adults, was corroborated in childhood.
