Laser‐assisted photodynamic therapy vs conventional photodynamic therapy in non‐melanoma skin cancers: Systematic review and meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials

Xiaoyu G, Shuang Z, Minxue S, et al. - Via this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs), researchers examined the impact of laser-assisted photodynamic therapy on non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC). For this purpose, they explored PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register databases. The systematic review comprised five RCTs with 267 patients. Findings demonstrated a superior efficacy of laser-assisted photodynamic therapy, when compared with that of conventional photodynamic therapy, in the treatment of NMSC.
