Piazza C, et al. - In this present study, the specialists examined the association between the degree of laryngeal exposure and histopathologic surgical margin status after transoral laser microsurgery (TLM). They suggested that laryngeal exposure was one of the most important factors influencing TLM resection of glottic cancer within safe surgical margins. However, the value of its adequate preoperative assessment cannot be exaggerated.
