Goh EL, et al. - Researchers performed this systematic review aimed at comparing the long-term survival outcomes of laparoscopic hepatectomy (LH) and open hepatectomy (OH) for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and underlying cirrhosis. Findings revealed that laparoscopic surgery was associated with comparable postoperative and survival outcomes in these patients. This approach was safe, feasible and advantageous with careful selection of patients.
