Laparoscopic and robotic nephroureterectomy: Does lymphadenectomy have an impact on the clinical outcome?
International Urology and Nephrology Sep 29, 2017
Azawi NH, et al. - This study assessed cancer-specific mortality (CSM) and overall survival (OS) in patients who underwent lymphadenectomy (LND) in conjunction with nephroureterectomy for muscle-invasive upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). Findings demonstrated that patients with N1 and N0 muscle-invasive disease (MID) had a comparable five-year OS and CSM. This study may support the use of the LND procedure in patients with muscle-invasive UTUC.
