Lack of differences in radiation-induced immunogenicity parameters between HPV-positive and HPV-negative human HNSCC cell lines
Radiotherapy & Oncology Sep 18, 2017
Schneider K, et al. - This study sought to examine radiation-induced differences in release of damage associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), cytokines and activation of dendritic cells (DCs) in HPV-positive and negative head & neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) cancer cell lines. Immunogenicity of HNSCC cell lines assessed by membrane calreticulin (CRT), ATP, HMGB1, cytokines production, and by activation of immature DCs, was not increased by radiation treatment. Between HPV-positive and HPV-negative cell lines, no difference was observed.
