Kidneys in 5-year-old preterm-born children: A longitudinal cohort monitoring of renal function

Vieux R, et al. – This prospective study focused on the systolic blood pressure (sBP) and renal function in 3Â5–year–old preterm–born children as well as highlighted the factors which were associated with an altered renal function in these children. Evidence revealed that sBP was often high in preterm–born children. During childhood, neonatal protein intake was associated with increased blood pressure.
