Liu X, et al. - The current study showed that the Ki-67 labeling index (LI) is an independent prognostic factor for gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). It was concluded that Ki-67 LI was a promising predictor of outcome in GIST, particularly in the high-risk patient cohort. The Ki-67 LI exhibited the potential of prominent clinical utility in detecting the “very high risk” patients for rational targeted therapy.
