Ketorolac usage in tonsillectomy and uvulopalatopharyngoplasty patients
The Laryngoscope Jun 05, 2019
McClain K, et al. - Researchers examined how postoperative hemorrhage rates are influenced when ketorolac is used following tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy or uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) in adults. Among adult patients older than 18 years of age who underwent tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy, they assessed hemorrhage rates based on patients presenting to the emergency department with complaint of hemorrhage. Outcomes revealed no increase in postoperative hemorrhage rates on receiving ketorolac in patients posttonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy or UPPP.
