Kaiso is highly expressed in TNBC tissues of women of African ancestry

Bassey-Archibong BI et al. - In the current study, it was shown that patients of African ancestry with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) had higher levels of nuclear Kaiso expression than patients of Caucasian ancestry.
Methods
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded tissue blocks from Nigerian and Barbadian patients with TNBC were subjected to immunohistochemistry to assess Kaiso expression and subcellular localization patterns.
Results
Nuclear Kaiso H scores were significantly higher in Nigerian, Barbadian, and African-American women compared with caucasian women.
