Furthermore, the researchers aimed to explore the factors correlated with terminal ileitis development to Crohn’s disease. They found a rare development of isolated acute terminal ileitis to Crohn’s disease, which was discovered on diagnostic ileocolonoscopy. In cross-sectional imaging, the presence of stricturing/narrowing could predict eventual Crohn’s disease development.
