Schmitt J, et al. – The clinicians aimed to examine the association between occupational and non–occupational UV–exposure with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), in order to test the hypothesis that high occupational UV–exposure increases the risk for SCC. They disclosed that solar occupational UV–exposure was a major determinant of incident SCC. These findings suggested that prevention strategies should be further expanded to the occupational setting.
