Abdullah B, et al. - Researchers evaluated the reliability and usefulness of orbital floor as a surgical landmark in endoscopic endonasal surgery. Data suggested that in endoscopic endonasal surgery, orbital floor was a reliable and useful surgical landmark. The normal landmarks in revision cases or advanced disease could be distorted or absent and for surgeons to avoid any unintentional injury to the skull base, the internal carotid artery and other critical structures, the orbital floor serves as a reference point.
