Is Toxoplasma gondii a potential risk factor for Alzheimer disease? A systematic review and meta-analysis

Tooran NC, Sarvi S, Moosazadeh M, et al. - Via performing a systematic review and meta-analysis, researchers examined the relationship between Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) and Alzheimer disease (AD). They identified eight eligible studies representing 3,239 individuals (360 patients and 2,879 controls), which were used for the meta-analysis. According to findings, T. gondii may be a risk factor for the development and exacerbation of AD.
