Huang X, et al. - Herein, authors attempted to determine the necessity of aspirin for the purpose of treatment in the acute phase of Kawasaki disease (KD). With regard to its the anti-inflammation effect, no prominent variation was reported among the study groups. Based on the yielded data, findings indicated that the role of aspirin in the treatment of the acute phase of KD ought to be questioned since a definite benefit was not illustrated. In order to affirm this finding, prospective trials were required.
