Investigations of associations between seven gene polymorphisms and gestational diabetes mellitus: Evidence from a meta-analysis
Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation Jun 11, 2020
Wang B, et al. - Researchers sought to better clarify the previously reported associations of polymorphisms in transcription factor 7 like 2 (TCF7L2), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), vitamin D receptor (VDR), and interleukin-10 with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) via performing a meta-analysis. From Pubmed, Embase, WOS, and CNKI, they retrieved 39 studies for inclusion in this meta-analysis. Findings verify that in certain populations, susceptibility to GDM is conferred by TCF7L2 rs290487, TCF7L2rs7901695, TCF7L2rs7903146, TCF7L2 rs12255372, TNF-α rs1800629, and VDR FokI rs2228570 polymorphisms.
