McKeown A, et al. - In this study, the evidence for use of intravenous magnesium for analgesic impact in caesarean section patients were reviewed. This analysis suggested that intravenous magnesium, when given preoperatively to caesarean section patients, may decrease total post-caesarean rescue analgesia consumption with few side effects. Data also indicated its apparent safety and efficacy in these subjects.
