Intravenous acetaminophen as an adjunct to multimodal analgesia after total knee and hip arthroplasty: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Yang L, et al. - Authors performed a meta-analysis to assess the impact of additional intravenous acetaminophen for pain management after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). They realized that with the addition of intravenous acetaminophen to multimodal analgesia significant reduction in pain and opioid consumption could be achieved after total joint arthroplasty with fewer adverse effects.
