Intrapersonal and community factors associated with prostate cancer screening among African-American males in the US
Nursing: Research and Reviews Aug 12, 2017
Dickey SL, et al. – This paper gauged the intrapersonal and community factors associated with prostate cancer screening (PCS) among African–American (AA) males of age ≥40 years, in the US. Variations were revealed for marked correlations among intrapersonal and community variables and the two PCS exams. A culturally sensitive approach would be required for comprehending factors related to PCS among AA males. This was essential for designing and appropriately targeting public health interventions to decrease the health disparity of prostate cancer among this high–risk population.
