Intraoperative oliguria predicts acute kidney injury after major abdominal surgery
British Journal of Anesthesia Oct 15, 2017
Mizota T, et al. - This study investigated if and how intraoperative urine output during major abdominal surgery is associated with the development of postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI). Furthermore, an optimal threshold for predicting the differential risk of AKI was also identified. Findings demonstrated a significant link between intraoperative oliguria <0.3 ml kg-1 h-1 and increased risk of postoperative AKI in this patient population.
