Intraoperative hypotension is associated with acute kidney injury in noncardiac surgery: An observational study

Hallqvist L, et al. - The link between intraoperative hypotension, defined as an individual decrease from baseline and the risk of perioperative acute kidney injury (AKI) was assessed among adult patients undergoing major elective noncardiac surgery. A high incidence of perioperative AKI was reported in this patient population. Also, the risk of AKI could be attenuated by avoiding intraoperative hypotension.
