Intranasal insulin in Alzheimer's dementia or mild cognitive impairment: A systematic review

Avgerinos KI, et al. - The authors examined the effects of intranasal (IN) insulin on cognitive function of patients with either Alzheimer’s disease (AD) or mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Story recall performance of apoe4 (-) patients with AD or MCI was found to be improved with intranasal insulin. Other cognitive functions were not affected. However, in functional status and daily activity, there were some positive outcomes.
