Eckl-Dorna J, et al. - This study entailed the comparison of the levels of total and allergen-specific IgE in birch pollen allergic patients challenged intranasally with omalizumab, placebo or birch pollen allergen Bet v 1. In study participants, rises of allergen-specific IgE levels were seen consequent to intranasal administration of allergen, whereas, no enhancement of systemic total or allergen-specific IgE levels occurred subsequent to intranasal administration of omalizumab.
