Catania P, Passaretti D, Montemurro G, et al. - Researchers involved 323 individuals with Pertrochanteric fractures (PFs), classified according to AO/OTA system as 31.A1 (pertrochanteric simple) and 31.A2 (pertrochanteric multifragmentary) in order to contrast functional and radiological outcomes and complications of individuals influenced by PFs treated with two intramedullary proximal femoral nails. The study groups comprised of 106 men and 217 women. It was found that Elos® nail was trustworthy equipment on a short-term follow-up and signifies an alternative option to the Gamma 3® nail, a well-known and admired system for over 25 years.
