In these patients, IDH was identified to be an independent risk factor for long-term mortality. In addition, high risk of IDH was observed in patients with older age, high ultrafiltration rate, high level of serum N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide and β₂-microglobulin, hypoalbuminemia, and shorter aortic root inside diameter.
