Intracranial hemorrhage in term neonates
Child's Nervous System Apr 14, 2018
Hong HS, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the clinical characteristics and neuroimaging data (pattern, size, distribution) of neonatal Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). They noted Subdural hemorrhage (SDH) to be the most common type of ICH in term infants. These infants presented combined supratentorial and infratentorial hemorrhage more frequently than isolated infratentorial hemorrhage. Poor outcomes were reported in a total of 44.4% of patients. Among these, perinatal asphyxia was observed to be the most common statistically significant cause.
