Mortada MA, et al. - An assessment was carried out of the efficacy of intra-articular methotrexate (I/A MTX) vs corticosteroid injections in the suppression of persistent synovitis in medium-sized joints (ankle, wrist, and elbow) among rheumatoid arthritis patients. The clinical analysis and power Doppler ultrasonography (US) revealed that repeated I/A MTX led to a decrease in the degree of synovitis of medium-sized joints in RA patients.
