Interleukin-35 level is reduced in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection

Cheng ST, et al. - The role of interleukin-35 (IL-35) in chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection patients was investigated in this analysis. By ELISA assay, serum IL-35 in 72 chronic hepatitis B virus infection subjects and 41 healthy control subjects were examined. The findings from the present study suggested that IL-35 could be a novel marker associated with HBV infection and hepatocytes injury. The potential use of IL-35 in the HBV treatment was suggested.
