Interaction of diabetes and smoking on stroke: A population-based cross-sectional survey in China

Lou H, et al. - This cross-sectional study examined the correlation between diabetes and smoking with risk factors for stroke among Chinese adults. It was discovered after adjustment for age, sex, marital status, educational level, occupation, physical activity, body mass index, hypertension, family history of stroke, alcohol use and blood lipids, the associations between DM2 and stroke, and between smoking and stroke, appeared to be significant. Hence, the presence of additive interactions between DM2 and smoking was brought to light and such factors influenced stroke in Chinese adults.
