Inter-rater and intra-rater agreement of confocal microscopy imaging in diagnosing and subtyping basal cell carcinoma
Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Dec 31, 2017
Kadouch DJ, et al. - For this research, the physicians evaluated the inter-rater and intra-rater agreement of reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) in correctly diagnosing and subtyping basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Based on the assessment of static RCM images, RCM was reliable in correctly diagnosing BCC. If accurate subtyping would be achieved, RCM could potentially play an important role in BCC management. Thus, future clinical studies on reliability and specific RCM features for BCC subtypes were needed.
