Zhu J, et al. - Researchers conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the predictive ability of lymph node ratio (LNR) in lymph node-positive gastric cancer. Including 27 studies in this meta-analysis, they noted a significant relation of higher LNRs with a shorter overall survival (OS). LNR was identified to be an independent predictor of survival in patients with gastric cancer. They recommend adding LNR to future tumor staging classification systems.
