Bjornstad P, et al. - Researchers sought to explore the longitudinal association of insulin sensitivity with hyperfiltration and increased albumin excretion in adolescents with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Findings demonstrated an association of lower estimated insulin sensitivity with risk for hyperfiltration over time, whereas, an association of increased albumin excretion with hyperglycemia was evident in youth-onset T2DM.
