Watanabe T, et al. - This research was designed to assess the stability of miniscrews after placement to identify factors influencing the outcome in orthodontic treatment using miniscrews. Together with insertion torque and cortical bone thickness, the Periotest value could serve as an index of initial stability for predicting the outcome of miniscrew placement.
