Rhee MK, et al. - The utility of inpatient glucose levels as an opportunistic screening tool for recognizing patients at high risk for diabetes is assessed in this study. The outcome of this study suggests that the screening for diabetes could be considered in patients with not less than two hospital glucoses at/above the 95th percentile of the nondiabetic range (141 mg/dl [7.8 mmol/L]).
