Initial predictors of poor survival in myositis-associated interstitial lung disease: A multicentre cohort of 497 patients
Rheumatology Apr 04, 2018
Sato S, et al. - Experts sought to identify the initial predictors of poor survival in a large cohort of subjects having PM/DM-associated interstitial lung disease (ILD). For ILD mortality, they evaluated the following independent risk factors: Age at onset ≥60 years, CRP ≥1 mg/dl, peripheral capillary oxygen saturation <95% and anti-melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 antibody. They successfully identified independent predictors of short-term ILD mortality. Results suggested various initial parameters related to ILD mortality, including demographic, clinical, laboratory, imaging and autoantibody variables.
