Initial nutritional management during noninvasive ventilation and outcomes: A retrospective cohort study

Terzi N, et al. - This study mainly offers information regarding the nutritional management of patients starting first-line noninvasive ventilation (NIV). Researchers, herein, also evaluated potential links between nutritional management and outcomes. Findings demonstrated that nearly three-fifths of patients receiving NIV fasted for the first 2 days. No association of lack of feeding or underfeeding with mortality was evident in this study.
