Influence of the phenotype on mycosis fungoides prognosis, a retrospective cohort study of 160 patients
International Journal of Dermatology Feb 20, 2019
Jaque A, et al. - In this retrospective cohort study, researchers estimated 160 subjects from 2007 to 2017 from Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Canada to assess the impact of mycosis fungoides (MF) immunophenotypes on disease prognosis. They categorized the candidates into 2 following groups: CD4+CD8− (Group 1) and 3 less common subtypes (Group 2). They observed no influence of atypical MF immunophenotypes on the prognosis of disease. They noticed frequent hypopigmented MF in the CD4−CD8+ group whereas folliculotropic MF was particularly observed in the CD4+CD8− group.
