Frings J, et al. - In the treatment of patellar instability, experts evaluated the clinical results following tibial tuberosity transfer with medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction. Reliable patellar stabilization with a low re-dislocation rate was allowed by tibial tuberosity transfer with MPFL reconstruction. Significant risk factors for cartilage lesions were posed by patient age and unsuccessful attempts at surgical stabilization and these may have limited postopertive outcomes.
