Influence of myopic macular degeneration severity on treatment outcomes with intravitreal aflibercept in the MYRROR study
Acta Ophthalmologica Feb 01, 2019
Cheung CMG, et al. - In this randomized, double-masked study (MYRROR), 115 eyes were examined to ascertain the impact of severe myopic macular degeneration (MMD) on consequences with intravitreal aflibercept (IVT-AFL) in cases with myopic choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Researchers noted no impact of baseline MMD severity on visual/anatomical issues or the number of treatments. They observed no new safety issues along with an improvement in Visual Functioning Questionnaire-25 scores in mild (+5.6) vs severe (+0.4) MMD.
