Influence of different delivery modes on the clinical characteristics of Chlamydia trachomatis pneumonia
European Journal of Pediatrics Jun 05, 2018
Xu J, et al. - Researchers evaluated the impacts of delivery methods on Chlamydia trachomatis pneumonia in infants. They compared and analyzed their age of onset, peripheral blood white blood cell count, liver enzymes, Chlamydia trachomatis titers, and chest radiograph scores. Nearly one-fifth of those affected were delivered by cesarean. The vaginal delivery group had higher Chlamydia trachomatis titers and peripheral blood leukocyte counts than those of the cesarean delivery group. They did not note any difference in the age of onset, liver enzymes, pulmonary inflammation, and pneumonia absorption between groups.
