Liu J, et al. - Authors carried out an appraisal of the impact of a novel chitosan-based dressing on the prevention of synechia and wound healing after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). This chitosan-based dressing correlated with markedly reduced synechia and with increased granulations and hemostasis, compared with the control intervention. However, it did not exert an impact on the crusting and infection after ESS.
