Bartella AK, et al. - In this work, researchers perform a comparison of the influence of a strictly perioperative antibiosis vs an extended postoperative prophylactic antibiosis on surgical site infections in maxillofacial surgery. Findings of the study suggest that for patients undergoing maxillofacial surgery procedures, a perioperative antibiosis delivers a sufficient prophylaxis.
