Inflammatory proteins in nasal lavage of workers exposed to occupational agents
Clinical & Experimental Allergy Oct 11, 2017
Castano R, et al. - This study used specific inhalation challenge test (SIC) to assess upper airways inflammatory response in patients exposed to low-molecular-weight (LMW) and high-molecular-weight (HMW) agents. There was a differential nasal airway response including acute-phase reactants proteins (fibrinogen, haptoblobin and CRP), cell adhesion molecules (VCAM-1), endothelial growth factors (VEGF) and VDBP, following exposure to HMW and LMW agents by SIC.
