Induction chemoradiotherapy using docetaxel and cisplatin with definitive-dose radiation followed by surgery for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer
Journal of Thoracic Disease Oct 04, 2017
Torigoe H, et al. - This study assessed the influence of induction chemoradiotherapy (CRT) with definitive-dose (DD) radiation in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC) patients treated with a single regimen of docetaxel and cisplatin. Findings revealed that it was safe to perform induction CRT followed by surgery using docetaxel and cisplatin with DD radiation in this patient population, and this treatment strategy was associated with a higher pathological complete response (CR) rate, compared with that attained using non-DD radiation.
